Ueno Park + Cherry Blossoms

After touring the grounds of the Imperial Palace, we headed to Ueno Park to see the cherry blossoms.  It was amazing.  The Japanese have viewing parties called "Hanami" and every square inch of Ueno Park was covered in plastic tarps and cardboard boxes - people had set up little picnics and spent the day eating and drinking under the cherry blossoms.  The Japanese definitely know how to have a good time!

Gorgeous!

Next year we plan on staking out our own little picnic area and coming for the day!
