The Imperial Palace

A few weekends ago, J. and I ventured to Tokyo with some friends.  Our first stop was the Imperial Palace - the main residence of the Emperor of Japan.  The buildings on site are only open two days a year, so we were only able to tour the grounds.  They were beautiful!

Bridge with one of the buildings peeking out up top ... can you see the pointed roof in the top, right hand corner?

A tour of the grounds is offered during the week, so I would like to go back at some point to take the tour.  Afterwards, we headed to Ueno Park to see the cherry blossoms, but that is a post for another day!
