Six months down, six months to go in 2012. And in honor of the year being half over, I thought I'd share this little gem that I found sitting unfinished in my "Drafts." It's a recap of 2011. Yup, just posting it six months late. Better late than never, right?!
I never thought 2011 would top 2010 (you know with graduating from law school, moving across the country and becoming a bar certified lawyer), but I think it managed to do just that ....

What'd we accomplish in 2011?
JANUARY:
I started volunteering at a legal aid clinic in Seattle
I created my Seattle Bucket List (and knocked quite a few things off the list over the year)
J. and I saw the Picasso exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum
We went home for a friend's wedding:
And I got stuck in Indianapolis during the Icepocalypse:

FEBRUARY:
We visited Portland and Multnomah Falls:
and I started my own business!
MARCH:
we spent a day in Port Townsend:
I went to the Taste of Washington with E. and Stevie
and we started house hunting!
APRIL:
I made some new Seattle friends ... S2 and R!
We visited Snoqualmie Falls and had lunch in the restaurant overlooking the falls:
We went to a Mariner's game:
We drank for cystic fibrosis on the Fremont Troll Stroll:
We tried Molly Moon's ice cream for the first time!
L.Rae came to visit and we went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival:
and we bought our first house!
MAY:
We moved into our new house:
We went to Bellingham for a night with R. and Mateo
I went to the Ballard Market with Mrs. S.
J. and I went to the Norman Rockwell exhibit at the Tacoma Art Museum
We discovered Portlandia!
JUNE:
JULY:
I turned 27!
We finished painting our kitchen
I discovered Pinterest!
and it was the last month of my life before finding out HUGE news ...
AUGUST:
J. carrier qualified on the George H.W. Bush
AND that he was deploying in ONE week
J. left for his first deployment
my mom came to visit and we went hiking:

We treated ourselves to The Fairmont Empress
And toured Butchart Gardens
and we finished her visit with a lot of yard work!
SEPTEMBER:
R., A. and I kayaked Lake Union and had tacos at Agua Verde
I managed to snag a Missoni for Target sweater
I went wine tasting in Woodinville with E. and Seattle Stevie
and baby Noah was born!
OCTOBER:
we celebrated R.'s birthday at Bastille
we watched the UW v. Colorado game in the U District
I visited my mom and sister in Chicago:

Dinner with the family at Fernando's
Grandma B., Cousin A., Sister, Me, Pop-pop B.
The city
Watching my Pop-pop perform at the Evanston Symphany
and we celebrated Halloween at R.'s
In November ...
I worked A LOT
we celebrated M.C.'s birthday at Tilth:
I had a spa afternoon at The Chrysalis in Bellingham
and I spent Thanksgiving in Houston!

J. came home from his first deployment!

When I think back to 2011, there are a lot of negative things that come to mind, but looking back on these pictures reminded me of all the good moments we had as well!

Pretty wonderful year even if it was filled with ups and downs. This is a great way to see the high points. I might have to steal this next year.
